Snap-Awn-Cover:

The Snap-Awn-Cover is designed of sectional construction that offers many benefits and payoffs as well as being uniquely universal in that it can be fitted to any length and diameter of such awnings requiring no professional installation, no tools, no drilling or screws, and no maintenance.

Sectional design provides simple installation, easy removal, compact storage and a perfect fit.

When installed it protects against premature deterioration of fabric, failure of seams and stitching, sun damage, dirt and stains, snow, ice and rain damage, tree limbs, black streaks, even mold and mildew.

When removed, compacted and stored away, it allows full beauty of the awning to be seen, complete access to awning for cleaning and maintenance, elimination of added weight and rigid parts on the open awning.

The majority of deterioration to an awning occurs during periods of non-use when the awning is in the retracted position; in some cases, months at a time, leaving crucial seams and stitching as well as the last rolled layer of fabric constantly exposed to the sun and atmospheric elements that destroys the stitching causing seams to fail, fabric to fade, dry out and crack. The fabric can show signs of fading within just a few months; this will be obvious when the awning is opened for use, as the first several inches of fabric across the top of the awning will be a different color, have more stains, and look older. Now there is a solution for this problem the Snap-Awn-Cover will add years of life to an awning.

This invention will appeal to RV owners and awning users to insure the maximum life of their investment at a reasonable cost as well as reducing cleaning and maintenance effort. It would be an asset to RV or awning manufacturers and dealers to prevent damage during periods of display. Manufacturers will find it desirable for its simplicity and ability to be manufactured on a mass production basis at a low enough cost to permit reasonable selling prices.

A working prototype of the Snap-Awn-Cover was tested and evaluated by Kelly Wagner, service manager of Wilder RVs in Clinton, Missouri, who declared, "It was a long-needed solution that was as beneficial to your awning as a shed is to the back yard. If anyone could see the difference it makes in just half a season, they would want it."

The inventor has used the Snap-Awn-Cover on his own RV for over a year; his awning still looks bright, white, and new. It works extremely well; the convenience, durability, and affordable cost will appeal to many other awning owners. This invention truly addresses a definite need with the purpose of providing a practical and effective solution.
